How To Use This Site

If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England. There shall be
In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware,
Gave, once, her flowers to love, her ways to roam,
A body of England's, breathing English air,
Washed by the rivers, blest by suns of home.

And think, this heart, all evil shed away,
A pulse in the eternal mind, no less
Gives somewhere back the thoughts by England given;
Her sights and sounds; dreams happy as her day;
And laughter, learnt of friends; and gentleness,
In hearts at peace, under an English heaven.

About The Roll of Honour
This site is dedicated to those brave men and women from Poole and the surrounding areas who gave their lives for their country. Name, rank, and memorial are recorded and visitors can search under relevant headings.

The Poole Roll of Honour takes the form of a website offering easy access for as many people as possible.

The website provides family, friends and veterans with the opportunity to contribute information. The Roll of Honour can be accessed worldwide and can be updated accordingly. It will provide a reference source and an educational tool available to all.

Most of the information has been supplied by volunteers. If you have any additional material, which you wish to add to the site, please contact us.

Accreditation will be listed in the near future.

Thank you to all those who have contributed.
