Thomas (Tom) Dix (1889-1914)


Thomas (Tom) Dix, child of essie (nee Avey) and late Thomas Dix was born in 1889.  Lived at 3 Victoria Cottages North Road, Parkstone, in Poole.   Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 8514) as a Private in the 2nd Battalion Dorsetshire Regiment of the Army.  Died on Nov 19 1914 at the age of 25 in Mesopotamia (present day Iraq).  Buried at r Cemetery in Iraq (Mesopotamia).  Their name features in the in Iraq.
