John Smith (1885-1915)


John Smith, child of Joseph and Charity Smith was born in 1885.  Married Mabel Caines (formerly Smith) andLived at Back 17 High Street, in Poole.   Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 38777) as a Private in the 3/8777. 1st Bn. Dorsetshire Regiment.  Died on May 4 1915 at the age of 30 in Belgium.  Buried at Perth Cemetery (China Wall).  A memorial for John Smith can be found at Transport Farm Annexe Memorial 5 in Belgium.
