George.Ewart Mockridge (1897-1916)


George.Ewart Mockridge, child of Albert James and Bertha Elizabeth Mockridge was born in 1897.  Lived at Braemar Longfleet Road, in Poole.   Fought in WW1 as a Lieutenant in the Machine Gun Corps 64th Bn of the Army.  Died on Jul 1 1916 at the age of 19 in France.  A memorial for George.Ewart Mockridge can be found at Pier and Face 5C and 12C Thiepval Memorial.  Their name features in the St.Mary's Church Roll of Honour 1914-1918.
