Walter Monnery (1868-1917)


Walter Monnery, child of William and Elizabeth Monnery was born in 1868.  Married Mary Elizabeth Monnery andLived at 9 Coastguard Station Sandbanks , in Poole.   Fought in WW1 (dogtag# 129859 1E+O) as a Petty Officer 2nd Class (attached to HMS Vanguard) of the Royal Navy.  Died on Jul 9 1917 at the age of 49.  A memorial for Walter Monnery can be found at Portsmouth Naval Memorial.  Their name features in the St.Peter's Church Roll of Honour 1914-1918 -east side in United Kingdom.
